    Job Description Summary
    To foster academic excellence, this position will assist faculty and staff in utilizing technology to enhance instruction at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
    Responsibilities will include:
    Developing and implementing faculty and staff training, consulting, and other types of support (producing handouts, newsletters, multimedia self-help materials) for instructional technologies.
    Supporting faculty use of technology in the classroom, including basic troubleshooting and pedagogical guidance on classroom technologies
    Understanding and supporting various digital platforms used in higher education.
    Assisting instructional designers and faculty with designing and developing educational materials by matching learning outcomes and teaching strategies with technology solutions.
    This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Media, Education, Library or related area; equivalency considered
    Four years experience with desktop applications with emphasis on instructional technologies to include development of educational and marketing materials; required
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; required
    Strong organizational skills; required
    Demonstrated experience with various digital platforms and operating systems; required
    Experience in computer-related training; preferred
    Project management experience; preferred
    Thorough knowledge of instructional design, learning theory, assessment, and system management is desirable.
    Experience within higher education; desired
    Knowledge of educational research design and implementation: preferred
    Master’s degree; preferred
