    ABOUT THIS POSITION

    Summary: Leads the department of Institutional Research, Planning, and Decision Support to collect, analyze, interpret, and report information to ensure the university engages in data-informed decision making.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Provides oversight and guidance for institutional planning, assessment, research, evaluation strategies, environmental scanning, academic program review, and accreditation processes;

    Performs research utilizing statistical and analytical approaches to provide models for projection or forecasting.

    Compiles, analyzes, and disseminates quantitative data on institutional characteristics, enrollments, student retention, student transfer activities, enrollment projections, and student performance;

    Responds to requests for data and reports from internal stakeholders (e.g., Vice Presidents, department heads) and assists them with the interpretation and use of data in decision-making and institutional effectiveness;

    Prioritizes, evaluates, and responds to ad hoc data requests;

    Leads the completion of federal and state mandated reports, ensuring that they are completed accurately and on time;

    Works closely with the IT department to maintain and enhance a data warehouse and reporting solutions for the university, to support automated reporting to decision makers; and

    Participates and serves on committees to provide input and to support the function of institutional research for the University.

    Minimum Qualifications Required: Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years in institutional research. Successful candidate must be able to apply computer technology in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
