We are seeking a qualified Installation Staging Facility Operations Manager in Virginia Beach, VA.

Position Description:

The person in this position is responsible for the planning, requirements, and daily maintenance operation of the SPY-6(V) storage staging facility.  They will ensure proper manning and equipment are in place for storage of production systems and will ensure the security posture of the facility is established and maintained throughout the life of the facility.  The person in this position will be responsible to interface with the landlord of the leased facility and address any emerging landlord/tenant issues are addressed promptly.  During the daily operation of the facility, this person will supervise all contractor personnel and provide direction for the proper storage of delivered equipment, store them in predetermined locations, prepare and ship systems and equipment to shipyards and other locations for shipboard installation.   They will manage the daily operation of the facility, including movement of equipment, arranging access for building maintenance and repair, material/equipment inventory, preparation for shipment, and all required storage/movement documentation. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervision of storage facility personnel and responsibility for daily operation of the facility 
• Maintenance of equipment and facilities 
• Establishment and maintenance of facility security measures ensuring equipment storage is maintained in accordance with customer requirements. 
• Material receipt, including material inspection, documentation, and storage. 
• Material receipt and issue documentation preparation. 
• Perform part identification, using provided parts listings, online identification, and National Stock Number (NSN) identification.   
• Maintain inventory control of Government material and property. 
• Maintain audit readiness for all receipt, storage, and shipment documentation. 
• Dispose of government material per applicable government directives and procedures. 
• Process material transactions in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) as required. 
• Ensure facility personnel are certified to operate and perform safe operation of overhead cranes, forklifts and/or other material handling equipment to store and move SPY-6(V) equipment and shipping crates. 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum fifteen years of warehouse operations, material management, personnel supervision, and shipping/receiving experience.   
• Knowledgeable of logistics, supply chain operations, supply systems/programs, and inventory management methods, processes, and documentation 
• Analytical ability to define problems, collect the necessary data, identify appropriate options, and take action based upon applicable established guidelines. 
• Experience using warehouse equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts. 
• Possession of a license to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. 
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word  
• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to work independently. 

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Business Disciplines (Master’s degree desired)
• Minimum Secret Clearance
• Experience in program management involving surveillance radars a plus.
