Job Title: Fireplace Installation Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, additional based on business needs
Job Purpose:
The Fireplace Installation Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring performance, safety, quality, delivery, cost and housekeeping objectives to our customers are met. Manage all operational activities of Fireplace Installation, providing efficiency and a high level of excellence to our customers in support of current and future business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of Fireplace Installers, Service Techs and a Scheduler.
- Monitors and coordinates with scheduler, all service and warranty calls.
- Ensures ongoing training for installers and techs and is responsible for keeping the team current with new product training.
- Coordinates and manages installation projects from order to completion, ensuring timelines, and quality standards are met.
- Leads and motivates the installers and scheduler, providing guidance and support.
- Works closely with Sales, and project managers, to understand the project requirements and to ensure accurate information has effectively, been communicated to customers.
- Addresses and resolve any issues or changes in a timely manner, demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Ensures safety and quality control measures have been followed on every installation.
- Monitors all installations in process and confirms completed installations meet Reading Rock safety and excellence standards, and customer satisfaction.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
- High school/GED is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3-year prior installation management experience in fireplace installation or related area.
- Takes personal accountability for job duties and results.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnosis and troubleshoot installation issues.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend technical instruction materials.
- Demonstrated ability to be a respectful and positive leader.
- Team player who works to assist and support others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under changing conditions.
- Ability to organize thoughts and communications in a logical manner, ask clarifying questions, and restate issues to ensure proper understanding.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a professional manner, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employee’s, sales and customers.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, follow through on commitments, and effectively utilize available resources.
- Proficient in Reading Rock ERP systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages a team of Fireplace Installers, and scheduler.
Work Environment:
Required to work onsite at customer location, ensuring safety, and housekeeping requirements are met.
May have exposure to outside elements, including extreme heat or cold.
Physical Demand:
The employee is to occasionally Stand; Walk; Climb or balance; Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is regularly Sit; Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
