Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shop Manager to join our team. We specialize in the installation of overhead conveyor systems. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fabrication, machining, and painting departments, ensuring quality products are being produced and schedules are being met without delay. Quality assurance fabrication experience is a must have.

Duties:

- Proficient in blueprint reading-minimum 4 years exp.
- Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop-Mig/stick welding, plasma cutting, cutting torch, band saw usage, power and hand tools.
- Manage all aspects of the machine shop- 2 years minimum experience operating a milling machine, lathe, drill press, surface grinder, etc.
- Manage all aspects in running a air fed paint booth- kremlin sprayer, cup gun applications, airless, paint booth safety, fire protection, PPE, clean up, and preventative maintinance.
- Implement effective safety procedures
- Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
- Supervise stock management and replenishment processes
- Direct a cew of 3-8 employees-Laborers, welders, painter
- Be efficient in quality control
- Facility maintenance

- Vehicle maintenance

Experience:
- Proven experience in steel fabrication and basic machining capabilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Blueprint and schematic reading
- Efficient in the use of measuring devices- tape measure, calipers, micrometers, laser levels, transits, levels
- 5 years experience in Fluxcore mig welding, hardwire, stick welding 6011 and 7018. Certifications a plus
- 3 years of forklift driving experience
- Familiarity with training, and developing staff members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
