Position Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Handyman/Maintenance Tech, and work on a diverse area of medium to small projects ranging from rental property refreshes, minor appliance repairs, small engine and vehicle maintenance, substantial tenant damage jobs, and light fabrication - Since we have a contracting arm there will be some opportunity to assist on remodels.
While we have a casual and relaxed work environment this role demands limited interaction with clients and tenants professionalism.
You'll undertake various general contracting and handyman tasks and be offered a chance to learn on the job independently and with the aid of other team members. We’ll endeavor to focus your work on your skill set, preferred type of project, and what you’d like to both learn and teach fellow crew members.
Key Responsibilities
(We don’t expect you to know everything - We’re looking for someone who knows most things decently, a few things expertly, and willing to learn the things they don’t know)
Compensation
Qualifications
Preferred Skills (Some of these might qualify you for a leadership or coordination position track)
Who you'll work for - Not your average General Contractor / Property Manager.
We believe: The best marketing is referrals, the best referrals come from happy clients, happy clients start with employees who feel respected and are recognized for quality, efficient work. So your manager's focus is on making sure that you are supported, challenged, treated with dignity and surrounded by collaborative crew members who are also up to standard.
Priority Maintenance and Management fills the niche in between what homeowners and investment property owners can do (or will do) do for themselves and what large GC outfits or even tradesmen are too busy to do. We do everything from the light switch your grandma cant get anyone to come look at; all the way to single family dream remodels, and multi-unit apartment building gut outs.
Because we fill a niche that's only occupied by a few one-guy-and-his-truck competitors, and because we also have a property management arm (as well as agreements with other local property management companies for their maintenance needs) the work is reliable, even in the winter.
We're turning away profitable work so we're looking to add 8 more positions by the end of the spring. We get a lot of applicants but we want to be sure that we staff up with the kind of A player that everyone wants to work with so BOTH skill AND character matters.
