**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Pickup and Assembly Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the pickup of items from the warehouse and conduct light assembly of furniture along with fitness equipment assembly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Warehouse Pickup:**
- Retrieve items from the warehouse according to scheduled pickups.
- Ensure accuracy in picking items and verify them against delivery invoices.
- Safely load items onto designated transportation vehicles.
2. **Furniture Assembly:**
- Perform light assembly of various types of furniture according to manufacturer instructions.
- Ensure that assembled furniture meets quality standards and safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary adjustments as needed.
3. **Fitness Equipment Assembly:**
- Assemble fitness equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, weight benches, etc., following provided instructions.
- Inspect assembled equipment for quality and functionality.
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
4. **Quality Control:**
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled items to identify any defects or imperfections.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor for resolution.
5. **Inventory Management:**
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and pickups.
- Assist in inventory counts and reconciliation as required.
**Qualifications:**
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, furniture assembly, and fitness equipment assembly preferred.
- Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow assembly instructions.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
