Installation & Maintenance Technician Director directs the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Director leads all functions and ensures they are completed on time and within budget. Oversees the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are looking to fill a part-time position in our landscape maintenance department and a part-time position in our installation department. We hope to find one person to fill both positions.     The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
    • Minimum two years of practical experience performing landscape and irrigation installation work
    • Minimum one-year landscape maintenance experience
    • Valid CA driver's license and clean DMV record
    • The ability to read, write and speak English

    We are looking for a Landscape Maintenance Technician to work on a team or individually providing high-quality maintenance service for our clients. We perform our tasks from a horticultural perspective, and we are looking for the right individual to join our team who can offer their current knowledge and skills, or we will train the right individual. Our broad knowledge base and horticultural skills are what set us apart from the average landscape maintenance service. We practice IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and strive to keep our landscapes healthy and beautiful. We use battery-powered equipment and organic pesticides and fertilizers to maintain our beautiful properties on the Central Coast.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities for the Landscape Maintenance Position:
    • Knowledge of plant materials and turf and their proper maintenance, which includes mowing and edging turf, pruning trees and shrubs, deadheading flowers, cutting back perennials, trimming hedges, grooming succulents, and fertilizing plants as needed on a regular basis.
    • Diagnosing disease and pest problems and offering appropriate solutions.
    • Proficient use of landscape equipment and tools, including battery-powered mowers, hedge trimmers, string trimmers, chain saws and blowers.
    • Knowledge of irrigation systems and the ability to make minor repairs and installations.
    • The ability to keep accurate records of time and work completed.

    We are also looking for a part-time Landscape & Irrigation Technician. This position requires a dependable, experienced, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as being part of a team. A positive attitude and good work ethic are the keys to success in working for our company.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities for the Landscape Installation Technician:
    • Accurate record-keeping of all work performed
    • Follow company policies, standards and safety guidelines
    • Knowledge of irrigation systems and components and their proper installation including, but not limited to: PVC pipe, sprinklers, drip systems, controllers, valves, backflow devices, etc.
    • Program irrigation controllers
    • Familiar with most plants and their proper installation and maintenance
    • Turf installation and renovation
    • Grading and drainage work
    • Experience with outdoor lighting and its proper installation
    • Operation of landscape equipment and tools needed to perform assigned tasks
    • General clean-ups for existing landscapes
    • Prioritize tasks and work efficiently

    We work a regular schedule from 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, but we are flexible on the number of days you wish to work.

    Compensation:
    • Competitive pay starting at $20 - $25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
    • Paid time off and paid sick leave benefits available after 90 days of employment
