Installation & Maintenance Technician Director directs the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Director leads all functions and ensures they are completed on time and within budget. Oversees the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • ```Duties``` - Install and configure satellite equipment for residential and commercial customers - Perform site surveys to determine the best location for satellite dish installation - Mount and align satellite dishes to ensure optimal signal reception - Run and terminate coaxial, Ethernet, and telephone cables for network and phone connectivity - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with satellite signal or network connectivity - Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer questions and concerns ```Qualifications``` - Mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively - Experience with computer networking and network installation - Familiarity with Ethernet, Cisco routers, and telephone systems - Knowledge of cabling techniques for low voltage installations - Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues - Excellent communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
