    Position Overview
    The laminate cabinetry maintenance technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining laminate cabinetry to ensure it meets quality standards and remains in optimal condition. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Inspecting Laminate Cabinetry: Conduct routine inspections of laminate cabinetry to identify any signs of damage, wear, or malfunction.
    2. Repair Laminate Surfaces: Perform repairs on laminate surfaces such as fixing chips, scratches, or dents using appropriate repair materials and techniques.
    3. Replacing Damaged Components: Replace damaged or broken components of laminate cabinetry including doors, hinges, handles, and drawer slides as needed.
    4. Adjusting Cabinet Hardware: Ensure proper functioning of cabinet hardware by adjusting hinges, drawer slides, and other mechanisms for smooth operation.
    5. Refreshing Laminate Surfaces: Apply refinishing techniques to restore the appearance of laminate surfaces, including cleaning, polishing, or applying new laminate sheets.
    6. Sealing and Waterproofing: Apply sealants or waterproofing agents to protect laminate surfaces from moisture and other environmental factors.
    7. Creating and Installing Cabinets: Design, construct, and install laminate cabinetry according to specifications and project requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality craftsmanship.
    8. Maintaining Inventory: Keep track of inventory levels for laminate materials, hardware, and tools needed for cabinet construction and maintenance.
    9. Adhering to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
    10. Providing Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions related to laminate cabinetry maintenance and installation.

     

    Qualifications

    1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in laminate cabinetry maintenance, repair, and installation, with a demonstrated track record of quality workmanship.
    2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to laminate cabinetry work, including saws, drills, sanders, and measuring instruments.
    3. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of laminate materials, cabinetry construction techniques, and industry best practices.
    4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in inspecting, repairing, and installing laminate cabinetry components.
    5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
    6. Teamwork: Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
    7. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and supervisors effectively, and to interpret project requirements accurately.
    8. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
    9. Valid State Drivers License and Clean Driving Record Required

     

    Working Conditions

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell, use hand and power tools. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. The employee is required to operate a company-owned motor vehicle, often for up to 3 to 4 hours at a time. 

     

    Work Schedule

    This is a full-time position that typically operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. However, flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate business meetings, client needs, and occasional travel.

     

    Benefits:

    • Paid time off (PTO): Vacation time is accrued at a rate of 6 days per year.
    • Sick time: 40 hours of sick time per year.
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision: You will be eligible for medical, dental, and vision on the first of the month after 60 days of employment. 
    • 401(k): Eligibility starts the first of the month after 90 days of employment. The company will match up to 50% of the first 2% of your contribution per pay period.
    • 8 Paid Holidays
