Installation & Maintenance Technician Director directs the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Director leads all functions and ensures they are completed on time and within budget. Oversees the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. Telecommunication Technicians are responsible for installing data cables and network systems in new and existing construction.
The ideal candidate will be reliable and organized, and have a reliable vehicle to use to commute to and from the job site for the first 90 days of employment. If after 90 days of employment, the applicant can run small jobs and support a crew independently, they will then be eligible for a company vehicle and gas card.
Our Rhode Island technicians need to be licensed from the RI Department of Labor and Training in telecommunications to perform installations. A TST license or apprenticeship is required.
