Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. In this position you will be responsible for selling wireless products to business and industrial establishments or individuals over the telephone by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities include :
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card deck leads, aged leads, bingos, dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
Builds and maintains customer relationships.
Prepares reports of business transactions.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
