Inside Technical Sales jobs in Minnesota

Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • What you'll do:

    As a Technical Inside Sales Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies, you'll help our customers by assisting them with technical help throughout their orders from start to finish. Some more details about what you will be doing includes the following:

    • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders for products and services, requests for prices and quotations while providing exceptional customer service.
    • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Automation, Inc. customers.
    • Provide support for Outside Sales staff.
    • Create customer quotes for price, terms of sale, availability, delivery dates, and other related information.
    • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries, quality, and lead times with manufacturers.
    • Follow-up on customer quotes and negotiate to close the sale
    • Place purchase orders with our suppliers.

    Requirements:

    • 3 or more year(s) of technical customer service or sales experience.
    • Data entry experience.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office package.
