Inside Technical Sales jobs in Lincoln, NE

Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:

    • Process daily orders, issue job numbers and enter the job number into inventory.
    • Document customer notes in ERP.
    • Provide all departments with details pertinent to a customer’s order.
    • Cross-train with other Inside Sales staff to allow for department efficiency.
    • Investigate and resolve customers’ inquiries concerning merchandise, service, billing and shipping.
    • Interact with Sales personnel regarding recommendations for merchandise exchanges, refunds to credit accounts.
    • Answer inquires and obtain information for general public, customers and employees.
    • Prepare quotes for Regional Sales Managers (RSM) when they are traveling.
    • Follow up with RSM on quotes you have created.
    • Enter and track customer & quote information in CRM.
    • Send quotes to customers upon completion.

    WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
    • BS degree preferred with emphasis in business administration or accounting, or equivalent work experience, three to five years customer service in a manufacturing environment.
    • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, not required
    • Strong organizational, communication, personal computer, and ERP related software skills.
    • Must be able to maintain good relationships and practice good phone etiquette with customers.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and maintain excellent rapport with customers.
    • Must have ability to plan and prioritize work.
    • Must have knowledge of all office machines and equipment including switchboard system

    DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:

    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
    • This position will be based in our Lincoln, NE facility.
    • The working hours of this position is from 8 am to 5 pm Central time.
