Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • We are searching for an ambitious individual to join our Pocatello team as an Inside Sales member!

    As an Inside Sales team member, you will be responsible for providing operational and sales support to the team. You will work primarily at the rental counter and will engage with customers on a regular basis. This position is considered the heartbeat of the store and aides in driving revenue by achieving customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with company policies.

    A typical day might include the following:

    • Walk the yard daily to ensure knowledge of equipment availability, equipment repair status and yard condition
    • Answer incoming calls and effectively engage customers both on the phone and in person
    • Discuss customer needs and suggest suitable and safe equipment for the application
    • Load/unload rental equipment as needed
    • Successfully negotiate rental rates and pricing to achieve optimal market share and profitability
    • Make realistic commitments, and communicate with customers and/or sales reps if deviations from the original commitment occur
    • Work with customers in a professional manner
    • Inventory counts and reconciliations completed timely
    • Engage with the shop staff regarding repair needs and rent-ready priorities
    • Maintain clean and orderly counter and showroom area
    • Maintain a commitment to safety
    • Perform any other duties as assigned

    Top candidates will have:

    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Effective communication is essential to success in this position.
    • A clean driving record.
    • General proficiency with computers.
    • Ability to commit to a drug-free workplace.
    • Proven skills in organizing, planning and relationship building: Highly organized, excellent logistics and planning, excellent follow through, and high attention to detail.

    Additional qualifications:

    • Must have a team-player attitude and the ability to work well with all levels of personnel
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
    • College education preferred
    • Knowledge of construction equipment is preferred

    Physical demands

    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. per day
    • Must be willing to occasionally work in harsh temperatures and environments
