Inside Sales Representative is responsible for an assigned territory or portfolio of customers to target for remote sales development calls. Coordinates with field sales team members to understand customers' unique needs and potential sales opportunities. Being an Inside Sales Representative reaches out to customers to promote new and existing products and services, offer special discounts and promotions, or provide essential account management services. Selects appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. Additionally, Inside Sales Representative develops connections with customers and may conduct field visits. May participate in sales efforts as part of a larger team. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Inside Sales Representative work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     About the Role

    The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers directly by telephone, mail and/or in-person. Activities often include handling inquiries, processing orders, and selling or promoting additional sales. May be involved in verifying product availability, delivery, and pricing. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

    What you’ll do:

    • Identify revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
    • Prospect, qualify, and generates sales within the company’s established trading partners.
    • Ensure suspect identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
    • Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
    • Identify and close additional purchases of products and services by customers' communities.
    • Work closely with Support, Community Management, Account Management, and Business Development teams.
    • Respond to requests from customers for information and give online presentations.
    • Engage in technical discussions with potential clients through demonstrations and presentations.
    • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the B2B infrastructure and e-commerce industries.
    • Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.

    And these qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role.
    • Experience specifically in the Transportation, Logistics, or Shipping industry.
    • Two years in customer service, or in a role that involves public speaking.
    • Ability to travel locally 15% of the time.
