Inside Sales Manager oversees the activities of sales representatives with an assigned territory or portfolio of existing customers that primarily conduct remote sales calls. Coordinates closely with marketing and field sales to gather insights and understand customers' unique needs, market conditions, and competitors. Being an Inside Sales Manager develops sales strategies and supporting activities, including renewals, special offers, and discounts. Provides appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. Additionally, Inside Sales Manager trains and coaches staff in selling and relationship-building skills needed to grow and maintain sales pipelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Inside Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reads correspondence from customers to determine needs of customer not met by standard products.
Confers with engineering department to ascertain feasibility of designing and special equipment.
Confers with production personnel to determine feasibility and to obtain estimate of cost and production time.
Corresponds with customer to inform of production progress and costs.
Enters specifications of tubing required by customers into the computer for the generation of work orders.
Responsible for the initiation and facilitation of Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) process.
Travels occasionally throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone.
Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
Confers date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules.

Metal Experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment preferred..
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
