Summary
Under supervision, operate CNC machinery to manufacture metallic and nonmetallic parts. This position produces geometrically complex precision parts in high-volumes for customer use, utilizing specified drawings, work instructions, and procedures. The position is responsible for operating CNC Lathe machines to meet customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (includes the following, other duties may apply)
· Reads, understands, and interprets blueprint drawings
· Uses gages and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy to tolerance requirements
· Operate and troubleshoot CNC machines with little assistance
· Power on, program, load, and operate bar feeders
· Proper use of inserts, fixtures, tooling, collets, guide bushings, etc.
· Understanding of tooling offsets, tool touch off’s, and live tooling
· Review routing, work orders, blueprints, BOM’s or other work instructions to conceptualize parts to be built
· Responsible for operation of multiple machines throughout shift
· Safely load raw materials onto machinery and unload manufactured materials from machinery
· Understand and follow all quality standards and required documentation
· Perform in process inspection utilizing Micrometers, Calipers, CMM, Comparator, IM, and Microscopes to ensure accuracy and within tolerances
· Ability to operate dual spindle, multi-axis CNC machines
· Deburr and inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy, within tolerances, and meet all necessary print requirements
· Perform all tasks in a safe, responsible, and professional manner
· Perform regular cleaning and maintenance to assigned machinery and work area
· Assists key stake holders within the organization and the maintenance of the manufacturing work environment
· Flexible with time and schedule to ensure customer and company commitments are met
· Must be self-sufficient and possess the ability to exercise critical thinking to solve problems and propose solutions
· Ability to work within a team environment and independently is critical

Qualifications
· 18 years of age
· US Citizen
· High school diploma or GED required
Education and/or Experience
· Blueprint reading and interpretation (preferred)
· Thorough understanding of basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques (preferred)
· Machining Experience: 2 years (preferred)
· Ability to operate CNC machines (preferred)
· Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience (preferred)
· Fanuc & Mitsubishi controls (preferred)
· Proficient in math; including trigonometry, metric conversions, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to the manufacturing of products (preferred)
· GD&T experience is a plus
Physical Demands
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
· Ability to move, transfer, pull raw material for manufacturing
· Requires hand/eye coordination and close vision
