Injection Molding Machine Operator jobs in Oregon
Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Follow instructions from quality manual for individual parts.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Use injection molding machine to produce plastic parts.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Compare production parts to sample parts
- Trim plastic parts to proper dimensions.
- Operate production machine in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned.
