    Role Overview

    The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of all information technology within the organization( entire IT infrastructure, hardware, Could solution, Data Security, software and applications maintenance and support ). The Manager will direct the IT staff to carry out the maintenance and support of existing applications and the development of new technical solutions.


    Areas of Responsibility

    • Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organization standards, values, and performance needs.
    • Works closely with the Company departments heads to assess growth needs and identify and recommend opportunities for improving and updating software and systems.
    • Maintain network application, company website and operating system software.
    • Support ERP and MS Users.
    • Run regular checks on IT infrastructure and data security.
    • Develop and execute disaster planning, maintain data backups and restoration of data.
    • Responsible for inventory tracking, software license management, antivirus deployment and monitoring.
    • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, installs, repairs all software, network security, servers, and backups.
    • Provides technical (help desk) support including hardware and software training to employee Users and supports VPN (remote) Users.
    • Maintain and Install hardware and peripheral components in good working order.
    • Administer email and anti-virus systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues relative to all corporate software in a timely manner.
    • Manage functionality of the Company wide phone system (i.e., set up of voice mail, outgoing company-wide announcement, etc.).
    • Implement recovery efforts on Company equipment resulting from periodic network vulnerability scans.
    • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements.
    • Develop new network, troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
    • Manages Active Directory, adding users, computers, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Prepares a strategy for the Company’s short and long term technology goals and needs.
    • Planning upgrades for existing hardware/software.
    • Negotiates with vendors for the services and products.
    • Coordinates techno-related matters with management and executive.
    • Installs and upgrades the company’s computer and systems.
    • Maintains information related to technology policies, procedures & standards, and cyber security protection.
    Other Responsibilities Including Safety:
    Complies with all job-related safety and other training requirements.

    Requirements

    Education & Qualification:

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another applicable area.
    • 5 years of Network Administrator or Help Desk experience is required.
    Certifications, Licenses, Credentials:
    • Master of Information Technology certificate.

    Skills & Ability

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
    • Learns and supports other software and office technology.
    • Extensive knowledge of IT Infrastructure, servers, video and phone equipment, cloud back-up solutions and firewalls.
    • Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (ex: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to User’s questions and efficiently meets work deadlines.
    • Works independently on multiple projects while also coordinating and training an IT support staff.
    • Works with AWS, AZURE, SQL, Data Security and Backup solutions.

    Physical Requirements (lifting, etc.):

    • Must be able to install, fix or repair equipment sometimes while bending over, lifting, twisting, or squatting.
    • Ability to lift and move common computers and peripherals 10-15lbs.

    Work Environment (Office, Warehouse, temperature extremes, etc.):

    • Ability to navigate office, lab, and/or plant floor working environments.
    • Standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Physical demands involved in office work such as the ability to talk, hear, use hands to manage and feel; work on a computer up to 7 hours a day; close vision required for computer usage.
    • Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at this site, including safety glasses/goggles, hairnets, lab coats and safety shoes.
