DESCRIPTION:
The IT Security Director is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall cybersecurity under direct supervision of the AVP/CIO. Provides vision and leadership for developing and supporting cybersecurity initiatives. Directs the planning and monitoring of enterprise IT cybersecurity systems, business operations, and facility defenses against security breaches and vulnerability issues. This individual is also responsible for auditing existing systems, while directing the administration of cybersecurity policies, activities, and standards. Leads strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology. Promote and oversee strategic security relationships between internal resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations. Responsible for one Shift, five days per week. Incumbent is subject to overtime, on-call duty and call back as required by the organization. Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned office. Position is prone to many interruptions and repetitive tasks. Some travel is required.
