  • THE POSITION

    As a $2.5B retailer operating 600 Fine Wine and Good Spirits retail locations as well as several wholesale locations, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is looking for a highly motivated Information Technology Generalist 2 in the Business Process Division. In this role you will be responsible for the analysis, design, planning, development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of significant components of the PLCB’s Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    This position will be responsible for supporting other Oracle applications as assigned by their supervisor. Work involves analyzing business requirements, developing and validating detailed functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extension objects, monitoring daily scheduled interfaces to and from application systems, developing and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance test scripts. Work is characterized by the accountability for the highly complex and critical Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning system and other applications. To be successful in this position, you must be able to communicate with other developers, infrastructure, database and business owners about issues and requirements in a clear and concise manner. You will obtain guidance and direction in this area from the Application Developer Administrator (ADA). Work is assigned by the ADA, is performed in concert with direction from the ADA and other developers, and is reviewed throughout the process and upon completion for overall effectiveness at meeting the business requirements. Guidance is provided by the ADA for successful completion of the projects assigned.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:
    • Full-time employment
    • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg.
    • Note: You will be required to report to the Northwest Office Building on the day before Board meeting dates once every two to three weeks, and as operational needs dictate.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
    • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1; or
    • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
    • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
    • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Other Requirements:
