Information Technology Director establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Being an Information Technology Director manages the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Information Technology Director typically reports to a CIO. The Information Technology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Information Technology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Duties DescriptionUnder the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 3, SG-23, within the Chief Technology Office, Shared Platform Services, Shared Services Section, the Information Technology Specialist 2, SG-18, will create, test, deploy, troubleshoot and enhance O365 power platform applications/solutions at the direction of management using tools in Microsoft 0365 Power Platform such as Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Forms, SharePoint and Teams and any other Microsoft 0365 tools as needed.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Process O365 development requests
- Develop O365 Power Platform Applications
- Assist with O365 SharePoint and Power Platform Questions
- Assist with troubleshooting for O365 as needed
- Develop with Intranets using SharePoint
- Perform customer service duties related to application development
