The Information Technology (IT) Internal Auditor III is responsible for the audit process over IT systems, platforms and operations in accordance with information systems and internal auditing standards, established WellStar Health System policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Evaluate IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establish controls to mitigate the loss. Determine and recommend improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades. Serve as the IT subject matter expert and liaison for internal audit. Provide data analytics where needed. Possess the capability to lead and direct the work of others. The auditor must be capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Bus Admn. Required
Master's Degree, Preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years, auditing experience, Required
Minimum 3 years, related IT work experience, Required
Minimum 3 years, healthcare experience, Preferred
Proven experience in auditing IT operations, data, network infrastructure and control frameworks
Required Minimum Skills:
Strong project management, facilitation and presentation skills
Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment, internal audit standards, concepts and techniques
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to interface and work with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and proficient in Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs), e.g. SAS, ACL and/or IDEA
Prefer a working knowledge of Epic, a plus
