The Conservation and Environment Delivery Center (CEDC) Operational Support Tier 2 (OPS Tier 2) team is seeking a highly motivated IT professional to join our department. This position gives you the opportunity to resolve issues involving member software, workstations, end-user technical support, and hardware resources.     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As an IT Generalist 1, you will provide Tier 2 Operational Support for workstation and end user technical support. This position is an escalation point for resolving issues involving employee software and hardware resources. The incumbent will perform as a Tier 2 Support team member requiring knowledge and adherence to defined support processes, standards and requirements.

    In this role, you will be responsible for providing end-user on-site support as needed for any hardware or software issue at any location in the Central Region of the Conservation and Environment Delivery Center. The position manages and administer user accounts and groups, mailboxes, resource accounts, and distribution lists. You will have the opportunity to create and process Service Now tickets through the resolution of an issue.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:
    • Full-time employment
    • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, reporting in-office 1 day per month, upon successful completion of the required 3 month in-office training. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Altoona.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
    • One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or
    • Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
    • One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Other Requirements:

    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
