The Market Director of Security is responsible to organize, implement, and oversee the physical security program throughout the market including the development and implementation of effective Security Policies and Procedures and maintain compliance with JCAHO Standards for multiple healthcare facilities. The Market Director of Safety & Security is also responsible for Uniform Guard Operations and Management, assisting in emergency management and contingency planning, coordinating security operations or activities with law enforcement and other agencies, and responding to emergencies. The Market Director of Safety & Security is also responsible for leading the Workplace Violence Program for the market.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Must have minimum of five years in Security or Law enforcement, Healthcare Security experience preferred A minimum of three years of management experience in a responsible charge position. Knowledgeable of applicable laws, codes, state and regulatory requirements and NFPA / TJC regulations relating to health care Facilities. Must be knowledgeable of equipment specifications and inspection procedures. Demonstrated expertise in Hospital Incident Command System management required. Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment. Completion of National Incident Management Training (NIMS) compliant ICS100 ICS 100, 200, 700, & 800 courses within 6 months of employment. |
PREFERRED Qualifications | Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) or other designation preferred. Knowledgeable of computers and applicable software. Have a demonstrated understanding of Security specific and general Hospital policies and procedures. Knowledge of regulatory agency regulations and mandates. The ability to evaluate and articulate security risk to management Team. Have a demonstrated understanding of investigative procedures. Ability to develop and implement a variety of security risk mitigation strategies. |
