As the Director of IT, you will manage and implement IT strategies that enhance our company’s technology infrastructure’s efficiency, customer experience, and overall performance. The Director will lead the transformation and automation of critical systems while also managing internal corporate networking, corporate IT policies, working with user and desktop environments, hardware procurement, and helpdesk/tier 1 support. This role will serve as the primary architect for our IT team, ensuring the smooth deployment of new systems and anticipating potential obstacles.
Essential Functions/Duties:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with our business goals, ensuring technology solutions support and improve overall operations.
2. Streamline the development of a user-friendly web and mobile platform.
3. Implement and manage a secure CRM (Salesforce) instance to optimize operations in Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments.
4. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and communication systems.
5. Implement and enforce robust data security measures to safeguard customer information and comply with industry regulations and standards.
6. Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to evaluate, select, and manage IT-related services, negotiating contracts to maximize value.
7. Provide technical support and issue resolution to staff and management, addressing any technology-related concerns promptly.
8. Conduct training sessions for staff on utilizing IT tools effectively and raising awareness of security best practices.
9. Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal allocation of resources.
10. Develop and enforce IT policies, insuring a secure and productive IT environment while maintaining compliance with company-wide IT standards.
11. Conduct recurring leadership conversations, developing/coaching team members including bi-weekly 1:1s while giving transformational performance feedback.
12. Building and maintaining a business recovery plan, ensuring we can bounce back swiftly from any IT hiccups.
13. Architecting data backup and redundancy systems to achieve near-perfect uptime.
14. Stay updated on the latest technology trend and innovations relevant to the restaurant industry, proposing and implementing improvements as appropriate.
15. Exploring other job duties as directed.
