Information Security Director jobs in Ann Arbor, MI
Information Security Director establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the information security function. Develops and implements information security and disaster recovery programs in accordance with organizational information security standards. Being an Information Security Director evaluates information risk on a regular time schedule and promotes information security awareness within the organization. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Information Security Director typically reports to top management. The Information Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Information Security Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Job Description in the following format:
- Project Summary:
o Firewall deployment and migration projects
o Network segmentation projects.
• • Top 3 Daily Responsibilities
o Migrating existing firewalls from older platform to newer.
o Deploying new firewalls
o Implementing network segmentation and migrating campus and DC services
o Analyzing the logs and coordinating with business owners to implementing access controls and network restrictions.
• • Additional Responsibilities
o Create and Maintain standard operating procedures and guides for new and/or existing security solution implementations.
o Drives projects to completion with minimal supervision
o Knowledge transfer to operations teams.
• • Requirements (required skills, experience, qualifications)
o 8 years in system and/or security administration in an Enterprise Information Technology environment; administrative and solution design experience with enterprise security solutions
o Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls • Must have more than 5 years' experience in enterprise deployments.
o Strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience with routing, security protocols, ACLs, Firewalls, WAF, and Intrusion Prevention Systems
• • Nice to Have (preferred skills, experience, qualifications)
o Experience with Global Protect VPN
o Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Curl, and others.
o Certifications • PCNSA or similar, CISSP or similar, SANS GCIH or similar.
