Job Description Summary: The PayPal Office of the Chief Information Security Officer organization is looking for a collaborative and strategically oriented information security analyst to join the team to support strategic initiatives, strategy development, policy research, and partnerships development. Job Description: What you need to know about the role: This individual will serve as the Technology and Security Strategy and Policy Analyst and will be responsible for conducting research, developing strategic documents, fostering partnerships, and establishing policy positions related to technology and information security. Meet our team: The Office of the CISO provides stewardship of Information Security strategy, vision, and culture at PayPal; provides technology and information security assurance; leads partnerships, engagement, and risk management processes; and drives operational excellence for Information Security at PayPal. Your day to day: The ideal candidate will have proven experience working closely with executives, in a fast-paced environment; applying strong consultative skills, including business acumen, customer empathy, and the ability to influence and partner. This person thrives in a dynamic, global, fluid, matrix environment and is results focused. They are comfortable leading from both the front and back, as situations dictate. Your way to impact: Conduct in-depth research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the field. Analyze security incidents and conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes, trends, and patterns. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and propose improvements or mitigating measures based on research findings. Develop and coordinate strategic documents to guide the organization's information security initiatives. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment of security priorities with business goals. Prepare executive-level reports and presentations to communicate complex security concepts, risks, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Identify and establish strategic partnerships with external organizations, such as industry groups, government agencies, and academia, to share information, collaborate on research, and foster a strong security community. Collaborate with internal teams to develop mutually beneficial relationships and ensure adherence to security best practices. Analyze and develop, and gain alignment on organization positions on key policy topics, proposed changes, and implementation plans based on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational risk tolerance.
