Infection Control Nurse

This opportunity is per diem, approximately 8 hours per week. Some weeks will fluctuate with more hours.

The Infection Control Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of an infection control program to include the surveillance, prevention, and control of infection to reduce risks of acquiring and transmitting infection among patients and employees. The IC Practitioner will provide infection control support to staff and/or assist with program during heavy workload periods. The Infection Control Practitioner functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the UHS Roxbury Treatment Center and the Standards of Practice of the Center for Disease Control.

Qualifications

Education And Experience:

Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program or registered nursing program. One year clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population preferred, 2 years experience in infection control preferred.

Licensure & Certification:

Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse. Certified by the Certification Board for Infection (CBIC) preferred.
