Summary of the Job:  The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility.  The Inventory Coordinator will also monitor inventory levels and product movement.  This position will control/isolate non-conforming product as defined by local work instructions and in conformance with client expectations and DCL Logistics quality standards.  The Inventory Coordinator will also be responsible for facilitating efficient order fulfillment and contributing to a safe and orderly working environment.

Essential Functions:

1. Schedule, lead and reconcile cycle counts on a daily basis
2. Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine causes, and work with all departments to create preventive actions.
3. Manage a Kanban system to monitor inventory levels of our and our customers’ packaging supplies.
4. Manage work orders to package or relabel products to ensure that inventory is properly allocated and transacted in our J.D. Edwards Enterprise One software system.
5. Enter inventory adjustments in Enterprise One to reclassify or remove damaged products as directed by others.
6. Lead the secure physical destruction or disposal of obsolete products.
7. Lead annual physical inventory counts.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Consolidate Packing Routing Slip and appropriately file these
2. Coordinate material transfers
3. Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

1. Ability to move 25 pounds
2. Ability to do repetitive hand motions with good manual dexterity
3. Work with computers for a majority of the day (looking into the screen and performing data entry/computer keyboarding).  Therefore, must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

1. 1 year data entry with PC experience, including Microsoft Excel and 10-key skills
2. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; good numerical checking and editing skills
4. Good communications (both verbal & written)
5. Minimum of 50 words typing per minute
