Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and must be licensed to operate a industrial truck/tractor. Being an Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator also requires 2-4 years of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.     What to Expect

    • Provides customers with recreational activity assistance, including general information on the use of equipment, facilities, safety regulations and procedures, and safety/security checks. Provides instruction on basic boat handling, motor start/stop, issues boats, safety equipment, assists with set up and start up, and ensures they are working properly.
    • May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed such as filling gas cans, and ensuring cleanliness of watercraft and work areas. May operate a cash register, receive payments and make change.
    • May operate the radio and loudspeaker in accordance with regulation.
    • This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.

    MINIMUM QUALICATIONS:

    • Experience in any type of work or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the work of the position.
    • General knowledge of sailing, boating operations, safety, equipment and maintenance or one year above high school level.
    • Excellent ability as a swimmer. Ability to use basic maintenance tools; ability to read and write.
    • Prefer First Aid and CPR certified.
    • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the qualifications above.
