General Description :

The Vac Truck Operator is a position that provides Field support in an arctic oilfield environment. Additionally, the position requires someone to be willing to step up and take on additional tasks when not driving.

Essential Duties & Job Functions :

• Operate vac trucks and handle in field fluids.
• Assure that all equipment is maintained properly through the use of inspections, general maintenance tasks and reporting of issues.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance as needed.
• Inform supervisor of any incidents involving injury, spills, equipment malfunction and / or damage.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

• Two years of Vac Truck (250 325 bbl) experience.
• Class A CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• NSTC Card

Preferred Qualifications :

Arctic oilfield experience

Work Environment :

• Standard Environment : Standard Industrial Environment.
• Noise Level : Noise exposure is usually moderate to very loud, frequently requiring the use of ear protection.
• Weather Exposure : The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions.
• Hazardous Materials Exposure : Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service.
• Ability to hear audible safety alarms.
• Ability to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.

• Successful completion of a medical exam.
• Negative results in a pre-employment drug test.
