Industrial Engineering Technician

12 Months Contract

** Candidates with hands on experience using tools, lab instruments, fabrication, welding and knowledge of operating and performing tests are highly preferred **
** Candidates with automotive and electrical work are preferred **
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Associates technical degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program
- Minimal experience required
- Knowledge of diagnoses and test cell problems, maintenance and calibration of test equipment
- Knowledge of quality and reliability principles
- Basic understanding of engines, alternators, controls, and enclosures.
- Basic instrumentation skills and knowledge
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (communicating to internal and external customers, peers, stakeholders, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for assembly, set up, troubleshooting, testing and documentation of test results for testing articles (genset, sub-system, etc.).
- Collect prototype material, fabricate and build prototypes and validate engineering drawings. Provide feedback on assembly to engineers/stakeholders.
- Perform routine tests. Collect, analyze and interpret data per approved test plan. Make necessary adjustments (equipment, instrumentation, etc.). Review data to find any abnormalities to ensure quality.
- Draft test reports to include findings, conclusions and recommendations. Review this with Lead Technician or manager for approval. Present information to engineers/stakeholders.
- Independently troubleshoot and diagnose common test cell problems.
- Identify and participate in improvement projects (quality, safety, customer satisfaction) for the department/team. Participate in Kaizen Events as assigned.
- Follow correct safety procedures (i.e., tools, equipment, lifting, guards, protective equipment, etc.). Work safely and ensure the safety of others in the work area.
- Complete other work as assigned.

100% on-site
Interviews will be on-site for an hour and a half.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
