As an Industrial Engineer working in our 500,00 square foot Distribution Center, you will be accountable for overseeing all aspects of industrial engineering activities. This will include facility design, creation and implementation of labor standards, development of standard operating procedures, software to maximize warehouse operations, labor planning, improved process flow, material handling equipment, and capital projects.

Using your aptitude to take initiative to begin tasks/projects and anticipate next steps with minimal guidance you will be a key player in supporting DXL's mission by:

• Evaluating workforce utilization, facility layout, operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules to assess efficient utilization of workforce and equipment
• Providing recommendations where applicable for process optimization, scheduling, capacity planning, performance measurement, cost feasibility analysis (ROI), and forecasting
• Developing and maintaining engineered labor standards for distribution functions
• Implementing and training the Distribution Center management team as well as hourly support staff in the proper methods and procedures to ensure that an acceptable level of productivity is sustained
• Testing all labor related improvements to WMi and Labor Management systems to ensure workflow and productivity are efficiently maintained
• Maintaining knowledge of best practices in all fulfillment processing methods, trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organizations competitive edge

We're looking for someone:

• With a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
• With 5 years' experience as an Industrial Engineer in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Knowledgeable of Manhattan WMi and Labor Management a plus
• That has a proven track record implementing work measurement programs inclusive of time / motion studies utilizing MTM or equivalent and incentive systems
• Experienced with capacity planning and facility layouts in a distribution/manufacturing environment, AutoCAD experience preferred
