This is an extremely unique opportunity for an industrial engineer to design, implement, and improve value stream production operations to support an exciting growth opportunity for our company.  This position is hands-on and requires a significant amount of time on the manufacturing floor working collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and production managers.  The Industrial Engineer will also serve as a key link between sales/applications engineering and production, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through design for manufacturing.  This is a high visibility position that is central to supporting a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement.

Compensation:

This is a full-time salaried position, pay rate is flexible based on experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and aid Operations with improvement projects that impact safety, quality, and delivery.
• Collaborate with personnel across all levels and divisions of the organization on new products, processes, and other improvement initiatives.
• Construct metrics, in coordination with operators, to encourage self-measurement and engagement in achieving daily success.
• Generate labor models, staffing plans, and line balances to efficiently meet customer demands.
• Work with operators and leadership to design and implement layout improvements.
• Support Operations with the generation of training materials, matrices, and methods to ensure continuity of knowledge and maintain standard processes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with project implementation and handover to Operations ownership.
• Facilitate all levels of capital project management to include any or all of the following – researching options, creating comparison charts, pitching recommendations, generating schedules, executing change management, personnel training, project implementation, and ownership handover.
