Industrial Engineer-TJMaxx & Marshalls Store Operations

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

The Industrial Engineer role designs, analyzes, develops and implements strategic solutions that will improve work method efficiency in the stores through redesign of floor layouts, technology innovations, material handling equipment recommendations, work method / motion economy improvements and scheduling and staffing analysis. The role also analyzes and recommends process improvements that will optimize the Vendor-DC-Store supply chain network.

Your Impact

• Designs, analyzes, and implements solutions for Store Operations in such area as:
  • Backroom and office area layouts
  • Material handling needs
  • Work methods and motion economy
  • Support area layout (service desk, front end and layaway)
  • Efficient scheduling and staffing of front end process
  • Improved process or equipment for markdown management
  • Develop and support business driver forecasts
• Develop engineering standards as they relate to:
  • Scheduling and staffing analysis
  • Forecasted labor models
  • Labor allocation and optimization
  • Support of ROI analysis
• Analyze and recommend process improvements that will optimize the Vendor-DC-Store supply chain.
• Develop, reviews and recommends business and engineering solutions that will:
  • Minimize cycle time
  • Eliminate redundant activities
  • Assess appropriate place to perform floor ready tasks
• Escalates questions to and collaborates with Sr. Industrial Engineer as needed

Who We Are Looking For: You.

• 1-2 years industrial engineering or related experience, Distribution Center/retail store experience a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound understanding of business or operational processes and procedures
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
• Ability to travel (10%)

This position has a starting salary of $72,100 to $91,799 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
