CSI is looking to hire an analytical and people-oriented individual for the Controls Engineer position. You will be responsible for managing project development and providing electrical and automation solutions for projects. Design, programming, panel building, installation, and commissioning services will be primary responsibilities in this role.

Primary Functions (not all inclusive):

• Coordinate with the Client, Project Managers, and Process Design Engineers to have available resources to produce a comprehensive automation plan for the proposed and/or contracted food/pharma processing facilities
• Oversee development of costs for materials and labor as the project is quoted and when it is contracted, manage the procurement of materials, and coordinate in-house and sub-contracted labor as needed
• Schedule and manage the design and development of drawings for use by panel builder and/or field electrical installation personnel. These may include:
  • Single Line Diagrams
  • Panel Designs – MCP and PLC
  • Electrical Schematics
  • Network Diagrams
  • Safety Circuits
• Participate in bidding and design review meetings and report weekly progress for weekly project meetings.

Salary: $75K - $100K annually

Required Skills:

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical or electrical preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and/or database
• Electrical safety
• Arcflash requirements of NFPA 70E standards OSHA 10-Hour training course

Required Experience:

Experience:

• 5 years of direct PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and electrical
• Allen Bradley PLC programming and Rockwell Software, preferred
• UL and NEC code requirement knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment utilizing 480VAC/3/60, 120 VAC/1/60, and 24 VDC power

Persons in this position may be exposed to temperature extremes both hot and cold, dust, and noise. This position may also require lifting of heavy objects during truck loading and unloading or equipment placement. Must wear respirators, safety harnesses and other safety devices as required by the customer.

More than 40 hours per week will normally be required in order to achieve the productivity necessary for this position. Overnight travel, Saturday, Sunday, and holiday hours may be required.
