Responsibilities:
· Work off shifts (2nd & 3rd) to support the time studies.
· Reevaluate current assembly processes and develop new sequences and operations based on continuous improvement principles.
· Maintain time standards for established processes and update standards when processes change.
· Conduct labor capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OLE).
· Develop methods to increase productivity, maximize efficiency and manage human capital more effectively.
· Recommend capital investment strategy to meet product delivery and cost targets.
· Evaluate the effects of schedule and product design changes.
· Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improving process flow.
· Ability to prioritize many details into a broad view of the total organization.
· Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
· Ability to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, operators, and management.
· Strong analytical, creative thinking and project management skills.
· Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and adaptable to changing priorities.
· Working knowledge of product manufacturing / process technologies.
· Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations.
· At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
· Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods.
· Experience with process improvement and development of standard work.
· Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. Ideal candidate will be able to work well with floor operators, peers, and management.
· Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
