  • Industrial Designer/Product Designer - Architectural Lighting Products

Fusion Optix, and its lighting brand XICO Lighting, is a group of multidisciplinary creatives obsessed with pushing boundaries and disrupting the LED lighting market. We create high-performance LED fixtures with industry-leading optical platforms based on patented lighting technologies.

As an Industrial Designer/Product Designer, you will become part of a small collegiate product design team, creating best-in-class lighting solutions for the A&D community. You will be responsible for conceptualizing an idea, product development, manufacturing support, and completing the product release with packaging design and marketing materials. Your talents as a product designer will elevate the evolving product line, taking into consideration sustainability, smart manufacturing, and the multi-stepped user experience. Our products are based on a patented optical system which brings a high level of function to the designed space. These products must match that level of function with thoughtful design choices for form and finish. Your trained eye will complement and help elevate XICO’s product offering with color and material choices while refining its function for installation and the overall user experience. You will be responsible for every stage of a product design as well as its development and transfer to production. You will have an arsenal of tools at your disposal. We encourage our team to work through concepts with a hands-on approach. You will realize your ideas with working prototypes, taking advantage of an assortment of 3D printing technologies, laser cutting, CNC support, vacuum forming, etc.

Only direct applicants will be considered. Complete the online application or alternatively email your resume and include your design portfolio and cover letter to careers@xicoled.com.
