RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, rollers, hydraulic shears, air tools and a variety of machine shop equipment and hand tools.
- Responsible for all equipment, supplies, and inventories associated with the department and machine shop.
- Maintain daily communication with management to review the priorities set forth within the department.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Estimates material and labor and recommends supplies and materials to be ordered.
- Follow the established work procedures and control measures (including the use of Personal Protective Equipment) and any applicable (Safety Health Environment) rules.
- Suggest and support areas for improvement to and with management.
- Support their fellow employees, contractors, and visitors to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and care for their environment.
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory.
- Will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report to work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand, follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated pending on position.
QUALIFICATIONS- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experienced in a machine shop and understanding basic math skills.
- Specialized knowledge should include the operation of these tools: drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes, plasma cutter, crimping guns, rollers, hydraulic shears, air tools and a variety of hand tools.
- May be required to work overtime, asked to work other shifts, including weekends.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain forklift cert., standing for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and regularly be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Current Active Jobs -- Load Build Tech / 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-11:30pm M-F $20/hr. plus (10% shift differential).
- Load Build Tech / Wknd Shift (Fri, Sat & Sun): 6am - 6pm or 6pm to 6am @ $20/hr. (set time not in stone yet) plus weekend premium which is 8 extra hours of pay.
- Manufacturing Tech. 3 open needs (1st shift) 7am-3pm M-F $18/hr. to $21/hr. based on exp.
