Import/Export Supervisor supervises the administration of documentation processes required to import and export merchandise and materials in compliance with federal, state, local, or country-specific regulations. Reviews all required documentation and supporting calculations of duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of products. Being an Import/Export Supervisor verifies all payment transactions are completed according to requirements. Ensures that all documentation is up to date and recorded in tracking systems. Additionally, Import/Export Supervisor resolves issues and expedites solutions with clients, customs officials, and shippers. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Import/Export Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Import/Export Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Summary

    The Shift Lead is responsible for the overall quality assurance and customer assurance of the building or buildings in their assigned area. Plans, organizes and leads the work of employees so as to achieve Marsden quality standards, successful customer relations and account retention.

    Core Responsibilities

    Promotes a safe work environment at field accounts.

    Completes regularly required Quality Assurance Inspections of all buildings in the area. Develops action plans based on the results of the inspection and presents those plans to Manager.

    Reports any performance and conduct concerns to the Site Manager. Does not conduct progressive discipline with employees.

    Manages employee job assignments to effectively distribute available resources to clean and maintain buildings within their assigned area.

    Able to perform all positions within Scope of Work.

    Utilizes available resources to train new employees with a focus on long-term retention and quality.

    Supports, provides on-going training and leads employees with a focus on accountability and employee retention.

    Secondary Responsibilities

    Provides recognition to field employees.

    Provides daily updates to the Site Manager.

    Works with the Site Manager or leadership on account re-engineering projects and service reviews.

    Reports any supply inventory shortage at account to the Site Manager

    Conducts daily Crew Communications Meetings to discuss safety messages, special projects, and hot spots.

    Assists cleaning additional areas when required due to staffing shortages.

    Performs any and all duties as assigned.

    Wash dirty laundry.

    Valid Driver’s License, vehicle and proof of automobile insurance is not required.

    Physical Requirements

    Leads are regularly required to walk, stand, use their hands and reach. In addition, they will occasionally be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Leads are required to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Wages (min/max)

    Leads are generally hourly employees. Hourly wages may range significantly depending on responsibility levels.

    Travel

    Leads are not required to travel. A personal vehicle is not required to perform this job.
