Import/Export Supervisor supervises the administration of documentation processes required to import and export merchandise and materials in compliance with federal, state, local, or country-specific regulations. Reviews all required documentation and supporting calculations of duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of products. Being an Import/Export Supervisor verifies all payment transactions are completed according to requirements. Ensures that all documentation is up to date and recorded in tracking systems. Additionally, Import/Export Supervisor resolves issues and expedites solutions with clients, customs officials, and shippers. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Import/Export Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Import/Export Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position Summary: The supervisor is accountable for the training, cleaning, inspecting, and follow-up of all accounts in the designated territory.
Summary of Essential Position Functions:
- Training new hires on the company’s policies and procedures
- Train and support employees in each facility- Know exactly what they are responsible for and inspect work
- Performing daily scheduled inspections in accordance with detail schedule
- Ensuring customer satisfaction- following up on customer issues within 24 hours of complaint
- Ensuring inventory is properly maintained in building- Order supplies as necessary.
- Oversee staff to ensure all duties are completed per task schedule.
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Develop a presence and relationship with customers and employees
- MUST MAINTAIN RELAIBLE TRANSPORTATION
Education/Credentials:
- 2-3 years Janitorial Experience
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
- 2-3 years previous supervisor experience required
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Experience in a service environment is preferred
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Rotating weekends
