Job Overview:

The Supervisor of the Occupational Therapy Department manages the day to day operation of the OT Outpatient Adult Rehabilitation Department including but not limited to data collection, payroll, updating policy and procedures, assist in budget development, and identifies and evaluates people with impairments, disabilities or handicaps in the area of specialization.

The supervisor and or appointed staff have an overlapping responsibility to provide oversight to the clinical coordinators/senior therapist in the other specialty areas in the department; providing both clinical and administrative service to both patients and physicians of these programs and provides documentation of staff meeting minutes.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor s degree, master s degree or doctoral degree in occupational therapy from an AOTA accredited school of occupational therapy

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• New Jersey Occupational Therapy license.
• BLS Certification Required. (American Heart Association)

Essential Functions:

• Occupational Therapist provide services to test, prevent diagnose, and evaluate functional disorders

• Occupational Therapist provides a comprehensive prevention, rehabilitation/habituation programs to address impairments, disabilities and or handicap issues in accordance with the patient s age, neonates through geriatrics

• The supervisor recruits and supervises therapist staff as well as CPARs working in the department

• Develops and implements new programs and services for this department

• Manages the operations of staffing PT and OT at the offsite facility of Brandywine
