Import/Export Supervisor supervises the administration of documentation processes required to import and export merchandise and materials in compliance with federal, state, local, or country-specific regulations. Reviews all required documentation and supporting calculations of duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of products. Being an Import/Export Supervisor verifies all payment transactions are completed according to requirements. Ensures that all documentation is up to date and recorded in tracking systems. Additionally, Import/Export Supervisor resolves issues and expedites solutions with clients, customs officials, and shippers. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Import/Export Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Import/Export Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This position is responsible for assisting in all facets of the store’s daily operations to increase sales and profit. Provides continuous coaching to all employee on proper selling techniques, inventory best practices and product knowledge.

Work Environment: Works under regular store conditions. Occasional exposure to heat, dust, solvents, chemicals, paint, glues, etc.
Equipment/Tools Used: Occasional use of various store equipment such as forklift, various hand tools (i.e. glue guns, scissors, stapler, saws, drills, etc.) cash register, key machine, paint mixers, computer, printers, fax machine, shredder, calculator, telephone, two way radios and headsets etc.
Work Hours: Available flexible hours as required. (Including days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
