Ministry Summary
The primary role of the Parish Administrator is to provide oversight to daily church operations in partnership with the priest and lay leadership, including office and building management, ministry support, and reception. The parish administrator provides general office support to the parish, staff, and others to support the ministries and mission of the Church.
Primary Ministry Responsibilities
· Prepare weekly worship materials in coordination with the priest.
· Type and send miscellaneous correspondence, including email and thank you notes.
· Coordinate the parish calendar to facilitate building use by internal and authorized external groups.
· Take clear messages and ensure they are passed on to the appropriate person as quickly as possible.
· Provide administrative support to Priest, vestry or other committees.
· Prepares weekly and special service bulletins.
· Sorts incoming mail and gives it to appropriate persons or committees.
· Keep a church calendar for use of the buildings in Clarksburg and Bridgeport.
· Maintains and manages a parish list.
· Maintains and manages monthly prayer list.
· Prepares annual Parochial Report with the assistance of Priest and treasurer.
· Keeps the Priest’s appointment calendar and assists with the scheduling of home visitations.
· Keeps record of weekly church services and attendance.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Begins at $13 and raised to $15 an hour after satisfactory two months
Benefits include eight days paid vacation after three months
