Position Title: Brand Manager - Craft and Import
Department: Sales & Marketing
Position reports to: Director of Marketing & Brand Development
Primary purpose and function of position: This employee will have responsibility for growing/developing our high-end, craft and import brands through working relationships with suppliers and being the champion for these brands with the Grey Eagle Sales Team and retailers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Primary point of contact with suppliers for day-to-day activity including inventory management, brand plans and sales objectives, marketing activities, and sales incentives
• Work directly with the Sales Team, enhancing their understanding of the brands, establishing company- wide objectives, and sharing information and resources to help the Sales Team achieve their goals
• Grow distribution through targeted focus on potential high-end accounts and non-buys
• Maintain secondary call frequency on assigned key high end/craft/import beer accounts to include developing and planning promotional activities, book and execute sampling events, gain taps, build displays, place POCM and sell in additional shelf space
• Plan, coordinate and implement the local execution of supplier marketing programs in key high end/craft/import beer accounts and special marketing events
• Execute evening and weekend promotions as necessary
• Perform all necessary administrative duties relevant to position (i.e. tracking reports, promotional recaps, expense reports, etc.)
• Establish and monitor quality control standards (product freshness, finished product loss)
• Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, suppliers and Grey Eagle standards and policies
• Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
• Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED certificate required
• Advanced selling skills (5 years of selling experience preferred)
• Cicerone certification or similar training a plus
• Strong knowledge base/training in specialty brands
• Highly self-motivated and results oriented; must have an entrepreneurial approach to business with a positive attitude
• Project a friendly, courteous and professional image
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent customer orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Technologically proficient; including familiarity with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to pass a required pre-employment background and drug screening
