What you'll do as: Import Export Clerk
- Administrative skills to complete all required paperwork for the export process
- Continuously monitor shipments from the point of receipt through to delivery
- Assist in file billing and quarries relating to costs
- Use great interpersonal and customer care skills to build relationships with clients and answer questions / queries as they arise in an accurate and timely manner
- Complete customs procedures
The preferred candidate might:
- Experience in examining shipping documents and verifying cargo
- Experience in recording customs clearance requirements and authorising collection of cargo
- Experience in calculating storage and clearance charges and billing customers
- Experience in receiving details of outgoing cargo, and arranging bookings of freight space and collection of goods from customers
- Experience in providing information to customers on custom tariffs, tariff classifications and concessions, and methods of clearing goods
