Immigration Specialist jobs in Santa Cruz, CA

We are seeking a skilled Immigration Legal Assistant to join our busy office. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative support, including answering phones and client communication. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field. Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with family-based immigration cases, consular processing, crimmigration, naturalization, and removal defense.
• Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications.
• Gather and review client documentation for visa applications.
• Communicate with clients, and government agencies.
• Maintain case files and update clients on case progress.

Qualifications:

• Experience in immigration law
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in translating documents and managing case files
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in Spanish, required
