IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual for a Systems Analyst/ IT Vendor Manager position at our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have a strong problem-solving ability, an understanding of various hardware systems, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues related to hardware (e.g., printers, WiFi devices, Windows PCs, iPads, monitors, scanners) and software (e.g., Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems).
- Apply system updates and manage system images for Windows PCs.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware devices, including setting up new devices and resolving connectivity issues.
- Work effectively with Microsoft Office, particularly in managing and handling various information tasks within spreadsheets.
- Define project needs to prospective contract partners, present proposals to management and make vendor recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the smooth operation of systems and to facilitate the resolution of user issues.
- Install and manage Vorne scoreboard systems and Banner monitoring equipment.
- Create technical documentation and provide training to end-users
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or related field. Candidates with relevant certifications and work experience will also be considered.
-Basic knowledge of network configurations and troubleshooting.
-Familiarity with Windows system administration tasks, such as applying updates and managing system images.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel for data manipulation and report generation.
